How the work is done

   The court decides the job

   Cracks, low spots, drainage and the base under the color decide what a court needs — not the other way round.

2. 02

   Repair or resurface — say which

   Some courts only need their top layers renewed; some need repairs first. You hear which one yours is, and why, before anything is booked.

3. 03

   Layers, in order

   Clean to a sound surface, fill and level, resurfacer, textured color coats, then lines. Each layer only works if the one under it was done right.

4. 04

   Lines to the inch

   Tennis lines to ITF dimensions, pickleball to USA Pickleball’s — measured, squared, taped and painted.
